  The cottage we were in was clean but definitely needs a lot of tlc. The blinds were broken and missing a few of the slats so they would not close. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. This is not the Waldorf so don't expect it to be. Both pools and hot tub were out of commission and seemed to be for a long time already. It is quieter there than if we were right in town and suited our needs.

  Similar to other reviews, this cottage was booked through a big company like Expedia but we didn't receive an email that the place is unavailable until after we got there. Don't come here, it's permanently closed due to fire hazards! Luckily there was another house down the street that had vacancy.

  Whoever runs this business needs to rethink his/her life... My wife and I booked a 1 night stay for $184 on a weekend. We arrived around 5pm to check in, only to find out that half the hotel was in non-compliance with the local fire services and deemed not safe, therefore, closed??? I never received a straight answer from the two women at the front desk whether they gave my room to someone else who checked in earlier or if my room was affected by this non-compliance issue, which is so unprofessional and really embarrassing to be honest. I think they just gave my room away to someone else, even though I checked in before the required time. I wanted a refund right away, but they told me it had to go through management. After calling and emailing many times, weeks went by with excuse after excuse, at one point not even remembering my situation.. and still no refund. I had enough, called my bank to reverse the payment (thank you VISA) and will never go there again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. They don't even deserve that 1 star.

  Made reservation in January, 2017 for 5 rooms through Expedia paid in full. On 4/7/2017, Received email from Expedia that the hotel rooms will no longer available due to maintenance. Not sure why hotel accept our reservation back in January if they will have some major maintenance project coming. We had to make change to our group plan. Total waste of my time, suspect that the hotel just come up with excuse not to honor my reservation so they can resell the rooms to higher bids.

  The other folks must have been expecting a stay at the Bellagio. If it's old world charm you're looking for against the backdrop of a beautiful surrounding, this is the place to be! Just don't expect a lot of glitter and show. Customer service -both in person and via email- was top notch. Thanks again!

  Clean, quiet, functional, and spacious- what more can one ask for on a trip to one of Ontario's gems.
